Are you ready for fall?  The little bug that you see above is already counting down the days to Halloween.  I pulled out this photo from last Fall and it's crazy how much changes in a year.  What hasn't changed is his spirit and excitement, which is just as infectious.

Sundays are one of those times...

I believe that whoever coined the phrase "easy like Sunday morning" didn't have a five- year-old who thought that mornings were for loud voices and extreme amounts of jumping on the bed.  He is always looking to ensure that I am fully awake prior to 7 am.  If they did, we clearly had slightly differing opinions of what a quiet Sunday morning looks like. Nowadays, my Sunday mornings look much different than they did 10 years ago.  There is less sleeping in and more pancake making, less heading out to a leisurely brunch and more block building, less getting in a long run on my own time and more trying to squeeze in both some work and some form of a workout which typically includes my pint sized workout buddy.

Random side note: I am NOT a morning person.  In fact prior to having a child, I didn't trust anyone who smiled prior to 9 am.  My punishment (or my reward) was a child who is ready to go before his eyes even open.  So, I have become a bit more adjusted to morning people.

Though my Sundays may look a bit different, they are still my favorite day of the week. There is just this sense of ease and natural-ness that I find applies to this day.  It is a time for winding down from the previous week and preparing yourself for a new one.  It is another chance to set yourself up for a new week of getting up for that early alarm, getting your workout in, preparing a healthier food menu, committing to being on time, and a great chance to set a few new goals for yourself and your family.

We hope you are enjoying your Sunday! Next week I will be sending out our weekly newsletters from Kauai, HI.

PS. Don't forget to check out my Editor picks this week! From DIY placenta encapsulation to a heartwarming article relating to daughters and body image, there is some great stuff!
Who doesn't love a good book giveaway?  To help promote a love of reading, especially in the arena of graphic novels, Papercutz is giving away Geeky F@b 5 Vo:1- "It's Not Rocket Science" to three lucky Daily Mom readers. Visit our website and enter to win!
Every year we team up with AMAZING BRANDS that new and expecting mothers need to learn about with this HUGE  giveaway. If you missed the LIVE video last weekend, it's okay. There are still 6 DAYS LEFT TO ENTER!
This is an article from Heather, and Heather ate her placenta.  Okay, maybe that is not the best way for me to put it.  Have you heard of all of the AMAZING benefits of encapsulating your placenta?  Placenta encapsulation has been used to alleviate anxiety and fatigue and replace lost iron and nutrients in postpartum women, among other benefits.  If you are interested in how to make these pills yourself, this is a GREAT place to start.
This is giving me all the warm and fuzzy feels.  Our children are precious. As Mothers it is important that we step outside of ourselves and consider that the way we love ourselves will impact the way our daughters love themselves.  This letter is full of heart and full of things our daughters need.
Did you know that September is baby safety month?  Obviously, you want to keep your babies safe all year round but this article is full of great safety reminders and is a MUST READ for all parents of babies and young kids.  It never hurts for us parents to brush up and remind ourselves.
Relationships may be glorious but they can also be tough work.  Some may say that relationships with kids can be even tougher work.  Maybe your relationship is feeling a little strained right now.  Even if its not, we can all benefit from a little perspective on how to improve.
What did you miss this week on Social Media? Oh, just some more gorgeous photos and hilarious memes....  Following us on Instagram? If not, what are you waiting for?

Who doesn't love Girl Scout cookies?    In my house the boxes don't last long, clean eating be damned.  No need to worry though.  This is a great collection of recipes inspired by the wonderful cookies that can help your cravings all year round.
Do you plan a weekly dinner menu in your house?  Around here I do my best to wing it and leftovers are typically my best friend. However, I have a 5 year old who LOVES food- especially tacos.  So I love the idea of implementing some Taco Tuesdays!
